LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Kazakhstan's JSC Kazkommertsbank said its first half net profit rose 56.4 pct to 26.9 bln tenge.
Net profit from equity operations in the first half stood at 878 mln tenge compared with losses of 1.628 bln tenge last year on the back of a growth in its equity portfolio.
The bank said provisions for impairment losses during the period increased to 29.3 bln tenge due to a 721 bln tenge increase in its gross loan portfolio.
