Versar, Inc. (NYSE Alternex US: VSR) announced today that its new Energy and Climate Unit has won a 5 year, with two 5 year option periods, contract from the U.S. General Services Administration to provide energy services to the Federal government. The potential initial value of the contract is $5 million. Energy services under the contract include: sustainable energy management planning/strategies, carbon management/greenhouse gas strategies, energy assessments/audit, energy engineering solutions, renewable energy analysis/selection, building commissioning, water conservation and energy program support services.
In addition to this new contract, Versar continues to support energy, greenhouse gas and sustainability efforts for the New York State Energy Research and Development Administration, the Department of Defense and private sector clients.
