Gradient Gives Back Foundation and Maitland's Burgos & Brein Wealth Management Group Give Back to Families in Financial Need
Gradient Gives Back Foundation is pleased to announce that Deborah and Scott Gout of Deltona were chosen to receive a full year of mortgage payments as part of the nationwide Gradient Gives Back Community Outreach Program assisting families in financial need.
In addition to the 12 months of mortgage payments provided by Gradient Gives Back Foundation, Gabriel Burgos, managing partner and founder of Burgos & Brein Wealth Management Group, www.burgosandbrein.com is offering the Gout family a lifetime of free financial counseling and is partnering with local business owners to collect and provide additional donations for the family.
"Deborah and Scott Gout are extraordinary parents, who after suffering the tragic loss of their eldest son, have not given up the fight to help their youngest," shares Mr. Burgos. "I am honored to be of service to this family and to make a difference in their lives."
Deborah and Scott Gout have spent the last eight years caring for their two young sons who were both born with Mitochondria, a rare terminal disease. Their oldest son, Chris, passed away from the disease at the age of five in 2007, and their youngest son, Matt, continues to fight the disease daily. Deborah left the workforce in 2004 to care for Chris and Matt, leaving Scott as the family's only source of income. Although Medicaid provides some relief for their medical expenses, it is not enough. The Gouts still face mounting debt and the prospect of losing their home, where they care for Matt.
"During these challenging economic times, we are proud to give back to families like the Gouts," says Tami Lucius, president of Gradient Gives Back Foundation. "There are so many families struggling financially that need a hand up, and we want to help as many as possible."
In addition to support provided by Gradient Gives Back Foundation and Burgos & Brein Wealth Management Group, the Gout family received donations from Wayne Becker of Maitland's Estate Planning and Legacy Law Center, PLC and First Baptist Church of Orlando through its Love Orlando campaign.
