PSI, an industry-leading provider of professional testing services, has been awarded a South Carolina Department of Insurance contract as a new licensing exam vendor. The contract period is July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2017.
Under the contract, PSI will be responsible for test development for 12 producer categories, 6 adjuster categories, appraisers, surplus lines brokers, and bail bondsmen. In addition, PSI will provide computer-based test administration at 7 test centers in South Carolina (Aiken, Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, and Rock Hill).
Information about registering for an examination and scheduling an appointment will be available on PSI's website www.psiexams.com beginning June 15, 2012. Examination administrations will begin the first week of July 2012.
PSI currently develops and administers insurance licensing examinations in California, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, New York, Minnesota, and New Jersey. PSI has been developing and administering examinations in South Carolina for the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation since 2002 for Real Estate Salesperson & Broker; Real Estate Appraiser; Contractor; and Residential Builders.
