Shomax Management and Associates' Manager Shodel, from Kingston, Jamaica, grew up playing right mid field in soccer with a competitive spirit. Obtaining his Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Marketing at the University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica, also received his MBA with a concentration in Marketing from the University of West Indies. Moving to the United States to pursue opportunity, Shodel started working at Six Flags in New Jersey. Moving to Columbus, OH he began a career. Starting with the company in November 2010, just a month after starting Shodel was promoted from Account Executive to a Supervisor role and just 5 months later into Assistant Manager. Being picked as one of the top people in the country Shodel moved to Turlock, CA to start working with the newest client. In July of 2012 Shodel became a branch manager with the fastest growing client in the country and oversaw the operations in Modesto, CA. In July of 2014 he then moved to Portland, OR to lead and assist with the last expansion nationwide with the client he first was selected to learn and help develop. Currently running the Portland, OR office, Shodel is excited about Shomax Management and Associates goals and growth with their clients.
Shomax Management and Associates had expanded 9 times since its 2012 beginning, and in 2014 alone promoted 5 new branch managers. Shomax Management and Associates is projected to expand at least eight more times in 2015. "Our clients need us to continue to grow in order to meet their needs," said Shodel. Having just come back from their Management Retreat in Mexico where they celebrated another great year and had an award ceremony in the tropics of the Mayan Riviera. Where Shomax Management and Associates obtained both an Achievement Award and Consistency Manager of the Year awards within the management team. When asked about a motivating statement, Shodel states, "If you are not willing to make sacrifices for what you want, what you want will be the sacrifice." A quote he had lived by since he left Jamaica seeking opportunity for a better life. With goals to provide an unbelievable life for Zaylie his daughter, Shodel, is excited about where Shomax Management and Associates is headed.
