Precor: Precor Adds Queenax Modular Functional Training to Comprehensive Product Portfolio

Queenax Transforms a Single Space Into a Multi-Purpose, Highly-Customizable Functional Training Area

WOODINVILLE, WA--(Marketwired - Jul 29, 2015) - Precor®, a leading provider of personalized fitness solutions, today announced the integration of leading functional training systems provider Queenax into its range of offerings. Precor parent company Amer Sports acquired Queenax, which will operate within the Amer Sports Fitness Division under the Precor brand. The acquisition enhances the Precor fitness platform, which includes traditional strength, cardio and networked fitness offerings. With the addition of Queenax, Precor expands on its ability to give operators a comprehensive set of fitness solutions that allow them to meet exercisers' ever-changing fitness needs.

"Functional training is one of the fastest growing segments in the commercial fitness industry," said Rob Barker, President of Precor. "The highly configurable Queenax system is the perfect complement to our robust strength and cardio offerings and reflects our commitment to helping operators delight their members with personalized, results-driven fitness experiences."

Queenax is a space-efficient, modular functional training system that can be configured in a variety of ways to meet the needs of operators, exercisers, and personal trainers. The streamlined and configurable design of the Queenax system allows operators to maximize valuable gym floor space without interfering with traditional gym activities. A variety of training equipment, including suspension training apparatuses, boxing rings, and dip bars, can be added to the system, giving trainers the ability to run personalized training and small group classes based on clients' needs.

"We're proud to be part of a company that offers unique equipment that allows operators to differentiate their facilities and enhance members' fitness experiences," said Gionata D'Alesio, CEO and Founder of Queenax. "As a Precor brand, we now have the ability to reach a wider range of customers with Queenax training solutions at a time when the demand for functional exercise is growing quickly."

Precor is a subsidiary of Amer Sports Corporation (http://www.amersports.com/), one of the world's largest sports equipment companies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
