DGAP-Media / 2017-09-06 / 15:02 *New SEO startup Keyword Hero provokes Google using data science and deep learning* *Berlin | New York, 06 September 2017 - *With the launch of their software, Keyword Hero provides e-commerce companies and publishers with the only solution worldwide to see the exact search phrase that led customers to their website. These keywords, which are highly relevant for an effective SEO (search engine optimization), were provided by Google until 2011, but have since been replaced with the term "(not provided)", a term feared by SEO experts around the globe. About 70% of all customers find their way e.g. to an online store through the search engine giant Google. Yet without the keywords the users looked for, online shops were not able to attribute whether their customers searched for the brand, the exact product name, or a general description of the desired article. Therefore, it became impossible to perform a target-oriented analysis of the user behavior, conversion rates, and the resulting revenue. The Berlin and New York-based AdTech startup Keyword Hero has now found a way to reveal 85%-95% of the keywords in Google Analytics using data science and deep learning. The set-up process takes only two minutes and analysis is free for up to 25 URLs per day. *Background: Why Google has stopped providing keywords* With the _Google Secure Search Update_ in 2011, the search engine giant has started to encode their traffic with the SSL protocol. Therefore, just the domain and not the following parts of the URL, which contain the keywords, are transmitted as the "referrer". This is the case with almost all larger web pages since the exact URLs often contain sensitive data such as credit card information. However, this explanation is not really credible as the keywords are still clearly visible in Google AdWords, where users can place advertising based on these keywords. Through hiding the keywords in Google Analytics, the technology behemoth has thus strengthened its multi-billion dollar business with search engine advertising and withholds critically important data from SEOs. *Keyword Hero reveals the hidden keywords * Through a scientific approach, Keyword Hero has revealed, already in the beta phase, more than 180 million keywords of customers such as L'Oreal, Radisson Hotels, L'Tur, and GroupM. This is made possible by the automated processing of an extremely large amount of data from a variety of sources. Keyword Hero is a small team of first-class experts, mostly from Fraunhofer Institute, that is able to make sense of the flood of data. In the first step of solving the keywords, the Hero retrieves data from a variety of data sources, such as rank monitoring tools, crawlers, and so-called c_ognitive services_ like Google Trends, Bing Cognitive Services, and Wikipedia's API to generate a massive list of possible keywords. In the next step, Keyword Hero matches it against over 1.2 billion data points daily from sources such as browser plug-ins and telecommunication companies with the help of a deep learning algorithm and various mathematical models. This helps the Hero to identify his users' keywords with an accuracy of approximately 90%. *Press material (logos and screenshots)* http://bit.ly/KeywordHero [1] *Press contact | Interview requests* Theo Bonick COOPERATIVA Corporate Communications theo.bonick@cooperativa.vc +49 30 6098890 84 *About Keyword Hero *(www.keyword-hero.com [2]) Keyword Hero is a Berlin and New York-based AdTech startup that provides the only solution worldwide to reveal the hidden organic keywords in Google Analytics.
