BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - At 4.30 am ET Friday, UK CIPS/Markit manufacturing PMI is due. The index is seen at 53.5 in January, compared to 54.2 last month.
Ahead of the data, the pound dropped against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 1.3086 against the greenback, 142.54 against the yen, 1.2997 against the franc and 0.8755 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
