BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - At 4.30 am ET Thursday, UK Markit/CIPS factory PMI data is due. Economists forecast the index to drop to 47.6 in July from 48.0 in June.
Ahead of the data, the pound dropped against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 1.2112 against the greenback, 132.14 against the yen, 1.2064 against the franc and 0.9114 against the euro at 4:25 am ET.
