LONDON (dpa-AFX) - The Competition and Markets Authority or CMA in the UK stated that it is considering whether the anticipated acquisition by Viasat, Inc. of Inmarsat Group Holdings Limited via Connect Topco Limited will result in a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the United Kingdom for goods or services.
The Competition and Markets Authority announced the launch of its merger inquiry by notice to the parties on 9 August 2022 and has a deadline of 5 October 2022 for its phase 1 decision.
