CARDIFF (dpa-AFX) - Admiral Group (ADM.L) reported that its first half Group profit before tax from continuing operations fell to 429.2 million pounds from 521.0 million pounds, representing a 18% decrease year-over-year. Earnings per share from continuing operations declined to 107.6 pence from 132.5 pence in the comparable period.
First half Group turnover increased marginally to 3.11 billion pounds from 3.10 billion pounds, prior year. Insurance revenue declined slightly to 2.44 billion pounds from 2.47 billion pounds, a 1% decrease.
Admiral Group shares are trading at 3,858.00 pence on LSE, up 4.10%.
