American Fusion Inc. (OTCQB: AMFN) Reaches Major Intellectual Property Milestone with 100 Patent Applications Pending

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Fusion Inc. (OTCQB: AMFN) ("American Fusion" or the "Company"), developer of the proprietary Texatron Fusion Engine, announced that the Company has reached a significant intellectual property milestone with 100 patent applications pending, following the filing of an additional 17 U.S. patent applications covering important aspects of the Company's fusion technology platform.

American Fusion believes that a broad and continually expanding intellectual property portfolio is essential to protecting the technology, engineering concepts, manufacturing methods and potential commercial applications being developed around the Texatron Fusion Engine.

100 Patent Applications Pending - A Significant Company Milestone

American Fusion has pursued an intellectual property strategy designed to build multiple layers of protection around the Company's core technologies. The Company believes reaching 100 pending patent applications represents an important milestone in that strategy and reflects the continuing work of its engineering, scientific, legal and intellectual property teams.

Expanding Protection Around the Texatron Platform

The latest group of applications is focused substantially on aluminum-based configurations and alternative structural embodiments of American Fusion's Texatron technology. Taken together, the applications seek protection around related concepts including aluminum clam-shell and unitary fusion-confinement devices, hollow toroidal interior chambers, proprietary rifled interior geometries, electromagnetic structures formed along rifling, Helium-3 and deuterium fuel injection, coil placement along rifled geometries, symmetrical half-shell configurations and integrated fusion-system architectures.

American Fusion's intellectual property strategy is designed to protect not merely a single device, but multiple embodiments, configurations, manufacturing approaches, operating architectures and potential future generations of the Texatron platform.

Michael G. Smith, Chief Legal Officer of American Fusion, commented: "Intellectual property forms the bedrock upon which a technology company is built. A great idea has extraordinary potential, but that potential must be properly documented, protected, expanded and defended if it is ultimately going to create durable value for a company and its shareholders."

Smith continued: "Reaching 100 patent applications pending is an achievement of which I am enormously proud. Each filing requires substantial technical analysis, legal drafting, engineering review, drawings, claim development and careful examination of how an invention fits within the broader intellectual property portfolio. This is not simply about accumulating patent numbers. We are systematically building layers of intellectual property protection around the Texatron platform and the technologies that may ultimately support its commercialization."

Brent Nelson, Executive Chairman of American Fusion, stated: "American Fusion keeps setting milestones, and our team keeps achieving them. Reaching 100 patents pending is another major accomplishment for this Company and another indication of the extraordinary amount of work taking place behind the scenes every day."

Nelson continued: "Our goal has never been to build just one fusion machine. We are developing an entire technology platform, a family of Texatron Fusion Engines, and an intellectual property portfolio intended to protect that platform across multiple sizes, configurations, applications and future generations. From our testing program and regulatory progress to our growing scientific team and now 100 pending patent applications, we continue to methodically build the foundation we believe will be necessary to move American Fusion toward commercialization. We are tremendously proud of the scientists, engineers, attorneys and technical personnel whose work made this milestone possible."

The filing of a patent application does not mean that a patent will ultimately issue, nor does the filing itself establish that the technology covered by an application has been commercially demonstrated. Each application remains subject to examination by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and other applicable requirements.

Company Files Motion to Vacate Legacy Alaska Judgment

American Fusion has also filed a motion with the Superior Court of Alaska seeking to vacate a legacy default judgment entered against the Company when it operated as Renewal Fuels Inc. The motion follows subsequent proceedings in Washington State in which the court determined that a purported legacy acquisition involving Pacific Compliance Corporation was never consummated, that Renewal received no assets or consideration in connection with the transaction, and that the shares issued in connection with the transaction were void ab initio.

The Company's motion asks the Alaska court to permit American Fusion to defend the underlying claims on their merits in light of those subsequent findings. The motion remains subject to consideration and determination by the Alaska court, and there can be no assurance regarding its outcome.

The Company intends to conduct a Q3 shareholder survey to obtain feedback from shareholders regarding certain key Company objectives.

American Fusion Expands Shareholder Communications and Digital Investor Engagement

American Fusion has also engaged AGORACOM Investor Relations Corp. to support the Company's expanding shareholder communications, digital investor engagement and online investor-relations initiatives. The engagement includes investor communications, digital content, social-media engagement, executive interviews, shareholder Q&A and other programs intended to improve the accessibility and consistency of the Company's communications with its growing shareholder community. For more information, visit AGORACOM at https://agoracom.com/

The decision follows a review of the Company's investor-relations strategy and feedback received from shareholders regarding its communications and engagement efforts. American Fusion elected to transition from its previous outside investor-relations provider and believes AGORACOM represents a stronger cultural and strategic fit for the Company and the increasingly active shareholder community it serves.

"We listen carefully to our shareholders, including feedback about how and where they want to engage with American Fusion," Nelson said. "As the Company continues to grow, we believe AGORACOM is a better cultural fit for the kind of direct, active and accessible shareholder communications program we want to build."

Achtung, Korrektur!
