Amid Electronic Supply Chain Disruption, Cofactr Reports 10x YoY Demand Increase

Growth Reflects Increased Activity Across Critical Industries as Manufacturers Place Greater Emphasis on Supply Chain Compliance, Traceability and Control

NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / August 24, 2026 / Cofactr, an AI-enabled supply chain infrastructure company for manufacturers building complex electronic hardware, today announced approximately 10x year-over-year growth in both procurement volume and warehouse volume. The increase reflects growing activity across aerospace, defense, space, robotics, semiconductor, and other critical industries.

That growth is due in part to Cofactr being selected by U.S. defense technology companies to support production ramps for several programs, underscoring increased demand for supply chain infrastructure capable of meeting complex compliance, traceability, and material-control requirements.

Those requirements are receiving greater attention as federal policy places increased emphasis on electronic component sourcing, documentation, supplier vetting, and supply chain risk. A July 2026 executive order on U.S. defense supply chains directed the federal government to develop policies and regulations to enhance supply chain mapping, supplier vetting, and sourcing-risk mitigation for designated national security acquisitions.

Cofactr combines AI-enabled software, electronics procurement, compliance workflows, and physical warehouse operations to manage electronic materials from bill of materials (BOM) planning through sourcing, receiving, inspection, storage, documentation, kitting, and delivery.

"Critical hardware companies already operate on demanding development and production schedules," said Matthew Haber, CEO and co-founder of Cofactr. "The challenge is maintaining the compliance, traceability, and supply chain control those programs require without creating additional friction as they scale."

Cofactr goes beyond traditional third-party logistics by combining physical material handling with electronics-specific controls, compliance workflows, and a connected technology platform. Its electronics-specific warehouse operations include climate-controlled storage, ESD-safe handling, 24-hour surveillance, receiving and inspection workflows, part counting, labeling, baking, splitting, splicing, and kitting.

Since May 2022, Cofactr has received, stored, and tracked more than 26.5 million electronic components across nearly 95,500 stock lots.

Cofactr connects those physical operations to its technology platform, creating digital records tied to the materials themselves. Customers can track sourcing information, screening and documentation status, inventory location, material handling, and the program or build associated with individual components.

AI supports several processes across the platform, including BOM cleanup and normalization, sourcing analysis, document processing, receiving workflows, country-of-origin analysis, and exception identification. These capabilities draw on Cofactr's procurement history, supplier information, component records, and warehouse activity.

"Electronics supply chains weren't designed for the level of complexity, compliance, and production pressure that critical hardware companies are managing today," said Phillip Gulley, Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of Cofactr. "The issue isn't just buying parts or moving inventory. Manufacturers need a system that gives them control over sourcing, documentation, material handling, and traceability as they scale. That is where the market is heading, and it's the problem Cofactr was built to address."

These requirements can be particularly consequential in aerospace and defense, where even a low-cost electronic component can disrupt production if sourcing information is incomplete, required documentation is unavailable, handling requirements are not met or traceability cannot be established.

Achtung, Korrektur!
