Seaport Research Partners Expands Energy & Power Franchise with Appointment of Vincent Lovaglio, CFA

NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 23, 2026 / Seaport Research Partners ("SRP"), a rapidly expanding independent equity research platform built by senior analysts for institutional investors, today announced that Vincent Lovaglio, CFA has joined the firm as Senior Analyst and launched coverage of the U.S. Exploration & Production (E&P) sector. His appointment marks another strategic expansion of SRP's Energy & Power research franchise and strengthens the firm's ability to deliver differentiated, decision-relevant insights to institutional investors.

Lovaglio brings extensive experience across both the buy side and sell side, having held research and investment roles at Barclays, Balyasny Asset Management, Mizuho and Wolfe Research. Throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise in North American upstream energy, with a particular focus on unconventional resource development, asset quality, capital efficiency and long-term value creation.

Seaport Research Partners expands its Energy & Power research franchise with the appointment of Vincent Lovaglio, CFA, as Senior Analyst covering U.S. Exploration & Production.

At SRP, Lovaglio is focused on oil-weighted U.S. upstream operators. His research will apply a proprietary, data-driven framework to assess unconventional inventory depth and duration-factors that are becoming increasingly important as investors evaluate production sustainability, capital allocation discipline, free-cash-flow durability and relative valuation across the E&P sector.

Lovaglio's research at SRP introduces a differentiated perspective on North American unconventional inventory, beginning with a comprehensive analysis of the Delaware Basin. The work examines the implications of inventory quality and longevity for operators, investors and the long-term economics of the region.

"We are pleased to welcome Vin to Seaport Research Partners," said Timothy Arthurs, Founding Principal of Seaport Research Partners. "His combination of institutional investing experience, fundamental research expertise and rigorous approach to unconventional inventory analysis adds meaningful depth to our Energy franchise. His work is highly complementary to our existing capabilities and reflects SRP's commitment to delivering independent, differentiated and actionable research on the issues that matter most to institutional investors."

Lovaglio joins SRP during a period of continued growth for the firm. Since its launch in 2021, SRP has built a senior-led research platform designed around analyst ownership, intellectual independence and long-term economic alignment. This entrepreneurial model enables accomplished analysts and industry specialists to build durable research franchises while providing institutional clients with experienced judgment, differentiated perspectives and direct access to senior talent.

With Lovaglio's appointment, SRP's Energy & Power research platform now spans:

  • Oil & Gas Exploration & Production
  • Oilfield Services & Energy Equipment
  • Electric, Gas & Power Utilities
  • Conventional & Renewable Power
  • Cleantech & Sustainability
  • Renewable Energy Technology

The addition further strengthens SRP's coverage across the energy value chain and advances the firm's broader strategy of building a premier independent research platform led by experienced sector specialists.
