SEOUL (dpa-AFX) - Thursday, Hyundai Motor Company (005380.KS) announced a record September total sales of 77,439 units in America, an increase of 9 percent from last year.
The September sales were led by Palisade, Sonata, Tucson, and Santa Fe. Also, hybrid lineup sales rose 39 percent year-over-year, accounting for 28 percent of total sales.
In addition to this, the company's total sales increased by 3 percent from last year in the third quarter. Total sales were led by Tucson, Elantra, and Sonata, which recorded double-digit gains during the period.
Hyundai's stock was trading at KRW 349,000, up 1.16 percent on the KSE.
