HANOI (AFX) - Anglo-Dutch company Unilever said it will invest 15 mln usd to build a goods distribution center in Vietnam, which will be the country's largest.
The 10-hectare site will be located close to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's commercial capital, in the Vietnam-Singapore industrial zone in Binh Duong province, the multinational said.
'Once finished in November the centre with a loading capacity of 2,000 tons per day... will be on a level with the leading distribution centers of developed countries in the region,' it said.
The maker of food, home and personal care products came to Vietnam in 1995, investing more than 120 mln usd and employing 5,500 staff so far, with five manufacturing sites nationwide.
