
SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - E.I. duPont de Nemours and Co. said Monday it continues to expect revenue and earnings in its agriculture and nutrition unit to increase by more than 10% this financial year, positioning the business for solid 2008 financial performance.
In addition to growth in its crop protection and pioneer businesses and majority-owned joint venture Solae, DuPont expects significant growth gains in emerging markets in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia, the company said.
Earlier Monday, DuPont announced a joint venture with a Chinese biotechnology research firm.
Shares of the Wilmington, Del.-based science and technology company were up 2.5% to $47.31.
