IRVING (dpa-AFX) - ExxonMobil Pipeline Company issued a statement about the crude release into the Yellowstone River in Montana. The company said it discovered an undetermined amount of crude oil was released into the Yellowstone River from an ExxonMobil Pipeline Company pipeline.
The company said it is working with local emergency authorities to mitigate the impacts of the release. The pipeline has been shutdown and the segment where the release occurred has been isolated.
ExxonMobil said it has no information on the cause of the incident, and are working to determine the amount of oil released.
