BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - The U.S. consumer sentiment index for August is due at 10:00 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback fell against the pound, it rose against the rest of major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 1.1101 against the euro, 105.99 against the yen, 0.9807 against the franc and 1.2289 against the pound at 9:55 am ET.
