BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - At 4.30 am ET Thursday, IHS Markit publishes the UK construction Purchasing Managers' survey results. The index is forecast to rise to 55.0 in December from 54.7 in November.
The pound advanced against its major rivals before the data.
The pound was worth 1.3605 against the greenback, 140.77 against the yen, 1.2006 against the franc and 0.9027 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
