BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - U.S. retail sales for July are due at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback advanced against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.0162 against the euro, 135.16 against the yen, 0.9527 against the franc and 1.2070 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
