LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Dignity plc (DTY.L) reported underlying operating profit of 14.1 million pounds for the 39 week period ended 30 September 2022 compared to 43.4 million pounds, prior year. Underlying revenue was 204.7 million pounds, down 14%. Number of deaths was 469,000, a decline of 3%.
The Group noted that its underlying revenue and underlying operating profit continued to be impacted by a combination of factors, including fluctuations in the death rate, change in pricing strategy and introduction of a direct cremation service through Dignity's funeral network.
Dignity stated that it will continue to refrain from giving guidance.
