As a result of the transition, 17 former Astarte stations in Eleja, Tervete, Branksturi, Tukums, Dobele, Aizpute, Roja, Iecava, Baldone, Livani, Plavinas, Tireli, Akniste, Viesite, Kegums, and two stations in Jelgava have joined the Virši network. These stations have begun operating under the Virši brand, and alongside their daily operations, the necessary adjustments are being made gradually to ensure the stations are fully integrated into the company's network.
"With the takeover of these 17 stations, the Virši network now operates 101 service stations, marking a highly significant step in the company's development. We are implementing this transition gradually and thoughtfully to ensure that customers have access to the necessary services even during the reconstruction period. We have begun making substantial investments in the modernisation of these stations, which will contribute to the growth of the company's market share and help achieve its long-term strategic goals," says Janis Viba, Chairman of the Management Board of Virši.
By the end of the year, all acquired stations are expected to have fully adopted the Virši visual identity and to operate in accordance with the company's customer service and convenience store concept standards.
