BONN (dpa-AFX) - Logistics company, DHL Group (DHLGY) on Wednesday reported higher earnings for the second quarter, supported by revenue growth.
Net profit increased to €1.010 billion, or €0.90 per share, from €815 million, or €0.70 per share, a year earlier.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) climbed 30% to €1.858 billion from €1.429 billion in the prior-year period.
Revenue increased 12.8% year on year to €22.367 billion from €19.826 billion a year earlier. Revenue from international operations rose 15% to €16.897 billion from €14.692 billion.
DHL Group, citing its strong business performance in the first half of the year, raised its full-year 2026 guidance in July and now expects EBIT of more than €6.5 billion, up from its previous forecast of more than €6.2 billion.
Additionally, the company increased its share buyback program, launched in 2022, by €500 million to up to €6.5 billion and extended it through the end of 2027.
On Tuesday, DHL shares closed up 0.94% at $33.37.
