Vimab Group's subsidiary VIM Energy Systems AB ("VIM Energy"), listed on Nasdaq First North, has won a contract for a battery park worth approximately SEK 16 million. The order covers the manufacture and delivery of a battery storage park in Kosovo. This is the third order from the region in a short period of time and represents an important pilot project for VIM Energy in a new market. So far in Q3 2026, VIM Energy has won contracts for battery parks worth a total of approximately SEK 226 million.
The new facility will be an important pilot project and a further step in VIM Energy's continued establishment in the Eastern European market. The project comprises the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of complete energy storage systems, so-called BESS units (Battery Energy Storage System).
This is the third order from the region in a short period of time. The company has previously signed a smaller agreement for the delivery of battery systems to Albania in a pilot project with an order value of SEK 22 million, as well as a larger project in Moldova with an order value of SEK 190 million. VIM Energy now has projects corresponding to 175 MWh outside Sweden, and completed the 50 MWh battery park in Sweden during the summer, which was announced in a press release in 2025.
Payment for the order follows the project's milestones, with the first payment made in connection with the signing of the agreement and the order being placed. The new battery park is expected to be completed in Q1 2027.
"With another order in the same region, VIM Energy strengthens its position as a leading supplier of turnkey battery systems in Sweden and Eastern Europe. VIM Energy has been working on the Eastern European market for several years, and I am very pleased that we now have three projects in the region. This gives us a strong foundation to grow rapidly in Europe", says Peter Fredell, Group CEO of Vimab Group.
VIM Energy covers the entire value chain from electricity production to electricity consumption, where the company acts as a Balance Responsible Party (BRP), meaning it can trade both energy and capacity on behalf of customers and for its own account. Since 2019, the company has built advanced systems for controlling large battery systems (BESS), either standalone or in combination with wind and solar power.
VIM Energy is also one of the few European manufacturers of large-scale battery systems (BESS) and has had a strategic partnership for several years with EVE Energy Ltd, the world's second-largest manufacturer of cells for BESS. A finished battery system, however, contains many components from around the world and is controlled by VIM Energy's own software.
VIM Energy's rapid growth in the market for large-scale energy storage and energy trading means that revenue is expected to increase significantly during 2026 compared with 2025.
