WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Leidos Holdings, Inc. (LDOS), an American defense, aviation, information technology, and biomedical research company, announced on Monday that it has secured a five-year, $301 million contract with the U.S. Army to provide round-the-clock cyber operations and strengthen defenses across the Department of War Information Network.
The company said it will monitor military networks 24/7 and develop new capabilities to advance cyber resilience, equipping experts with AI-enabled tools for faster detection and response.
Leidos said the award help continue its work supporting Army missions to deliver defensive cyber capabilities for the U.S. and allies, and aligns with its NorthStar 2030 strategy focused on digital transformation.
On the NYSE, shares of Leidos are currently losing 2.00 percent, changing hands at $138.57.
