BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - The Switzerland market ended marginally down on Monday after a choppy ride as investors refrained from making significant moves amid a lack of fresh catalysts.
Investors looked ahead to U.S. chip maker Nvidia's earnings update later in the day, and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole speech later in the week.
The benchmark SMI ended down 9.79 points or 0.07% at 14,447.19, after moving between 14,382.64 and 14,469.62.
UBS Group, Helvetia Baloise Holding, Julius Baer, Logitech International and Richemont moved up 1.3%-1.7%.
Givaudan, Nestle, SGS, Sika, Swiss Life Holding, Lindt & Spruengli, Zurich Insurance, Swiss Re, Partners Group and Swisscom gained 0.4%-1%.
ABB ended down 2.5%. Roche drifted lower by about 1.4%, while Lonza Group, Amrize, Sandoz Group, Sonova, Galderma Group and Novartis shed 0.5%-0.7%.
