WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Palo Alto Networks Inc. (PANW) on Tuesday reported a loss for the fourth quarter, as revenues grew 34%.
Net loss was $282 million or $0.35 per share, compared with net income of $254 million or $0.36 per share in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted net income rose to $853 million or $1.02 per share from $673 million or $0.95 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter were $3.41 billion, up 34% from $2.54 billion a year earlier, as Next-Generation Security ARR surged 63% to $9.10 billion.
For the first quarter, Palo Alto Networks expects revenue of $3.30 billion to $3.31 billion, Next-Generation Security ARR of $9.54 billion to $9.56 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $0.96 to $0.98.
For fiscal year 2027, the company projects revenue of $14.10 billion to $14.20 billion, Next-Generation Security ARR of $11.075 billion to $11.175 billion, and adjusted earnings per share of $4.16 to $4.19.
Separately, Palo Alto Networks announced the acquisition of Console, an AI-native platform designed to enable agentic workflows across enterprise operations.
