WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Thursday, General Motors Company (GM) announced that its total sales in the third quarter were 670,974 vehicles, down 6%, which reflected the much smaller EV market and discontinued vehicles.
Notably, sales of GM's highest volume vehicles were in line with the outstanding level of a year ago.
Looking forward, the company's plan to launch next-generation full-size pickup trucks is on track. Also, it is making investments in new vehicles, innovative technologies, and its U.S. manufacturing footprint to drive the next phase of growth.
GM was trading at $78.89, up 2.47 percent on the NYSE.
