CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Tuesday see October results for the consumer confidence index from Westpac Bank, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. In September, the index slumped 5.2 percent on month.
Hong Kong will see September results for its PMI from S&P Global; in August, the score was 49.5.
Thailand will release September data for consumer prices. Overall inflation is expected to rise 2.90 percent on year, up from 2.53 percent, while core CPI is seen higher by an annual 1.53 percent, up from 1.44 percent.
Finally, the markets in China are closed until Thursday for the National Day holiday.
