WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Packaging Corporation of America (PKG) on Wednesday reported higher net income for the third quarter compared with the same period a year earlier.
Net income rose to $262.3 million, or $2.93 per share, from $226.9 million, or $2.51 per share, in the third quarter of 2025. Net sales increased to $2.6017 billion from $2.3134 billion.
For the first nine months of 2026, net income declined to $625.3 million, or $6.98 per share, from $672.3 million, or $7.45 per share, a year earlier. Net sales, however, increased to $7.4593 billion from $6.6257 billion.
PKG closed Wednesday's trading at $239.00 up $0.08 or 0.03 percent on the New York Stock Exchange.
