WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Thursday, Carrier Global Corp. (CARR) announced plans to invest over $600 million in a new advanced manufacturing and engineering center in Fort Worth, Texas, over the next three years.
The new site would reflect the company's confidence in its growth in this business and furthers its commitment to domestic manufacturing as the largest U.S.-headquartered company in its industry.
The site will begin operations in 2027 and is expected to generate 1,500 advanced manufacturing, engineering and other jobs.
'By expanding our U.S. manufacturing and engineering footprint, we are increasing capacity for critical technologies, strengthening supply chain resilience and creating high-quality jobs,' said CEO David Gitlin.
In pre-market hours, CARR was trading at $56.18, down 0.51 percent on the NYSE.
