New customer wins, cross-selling success and expanded U.S. capabilities reinforce growth opportunities in just three months post-acquisition
Brampton, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - October 28, 2026) - DATA Communications Management Corp. (TSX: DCM) (OTCQX: DCMDF) ("DCM" or the "Company") today reported strong early progress following its acquisition of Octacom with new customer wins, expanding commercial opportunities and emerging cross-selling activities reinforcing the strategic rationale for the acquisition and DCM's growing presence in the intelligent document processing ("IDP") market.
In the first three months since the acquisition, Octacom has secured new business and expanded existing customer relationships across the utility, healthcare, municipal government, and lottery and gaming sectors, representing over $1.5 million in net new business across these four sectors. Notably, two recent wins originated through existing DCM customer relationships, providing early evidence of the growth opportunities created by combining Octacom's AI-enabled document processing and automation capabilities with DCM's extensive customer base, sales organization, and operating platform.
This early commercial momentum builds on other previously announced developments including Octacom's selection by a Schedule I Canadian bank to develop and launch a comprehensive digital mailroom solution, and the opening of a new U.S. IDP and digitization centre in the Chicago area to support Octacom's growing U.S. customer base.
Together, these developments demonstrate how the combination is creating new opportunities to drive Octacom's growth while advancing DCM's strategy to expand its portfolio of higher-growth, higher-margin, technology-enabled services and solutions.
"These early new customer wins, cross-selling opportunities and expansion of our U.S. capabilities reinforce our confidence in the growth potential of this business and the strategic value we anticipated in bringing Octacom into DCM," said Richard Kellam, President and Chief Executive Officer of DCM. "Importantly, we are beginning to demonstrate how DCM's customer relationships and commercial reach can support Octacom's continued growth, while expanding the range of technology-enabled solutions we can offer DCM customers."
"Becoming part of DCM has significantly expanded Octacom's network and ability to pursue new business," said Lee Berger, Managing Director, Octacom. "As we continue to build out Octacom's go-to-market strategy, we are already benefiting from introductions to existing DCM customers with several additional opportunities progressing through our commercial pipeline. We believe the combined capabilities of DCM and Octacom position us well to capture a greater share of the growing IDP market as organizations increasingly look to digitize and automate document-intensive processes and improve operational efficiency."
