The company's earnings totaled $512 million, or $0.25 per share. This compares with $6.626 billion, or $3.11 per share, last year.
Excluding items, Uber Technologies, Inc. reported adjusted earnings of $1.796 billion or $0.88 per share for the period.
The company's revenue for the period rose 9.6% to $14.766 billion from $13.467 billion last year.
