NORTHFIELD TOWNSHIP (dpa-AFX) - On Wednesday, The Allstate Corp. (ALL), an insurance company, reported lower income in the third quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter last year, due to higher expenses.
Net income for the period dropped to $2.05 billion or $8.03 per share from $3.717 billion or $13.95 per share in the previous year.
Adjusted net income dropped by 16.2 percent to $2.493 billion from $2,976 billion last year.
Total costs and expenses rose to $14.731 billion from $13.156 billion in the prior year.
Total revenue slipped to $17.348 billion from $17.255 billion in the prior year.
