LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Diageo PLC (DEO, GUI.DE, DGE.L) reported that its first quarter reported net sales increased 1.2% to $4.9 billion, with positive organic growth partly offset by unfavourable foreign exchange and the impact of disposals. Organic growth was at 1.4%. Organic net sales grew 0.6% excluding the impact of EABL. The Group said its fiscal 2027 guidance remains unchanged from CMD.
Sir Dave Lewis, CEO, said: 'Overall, first quarter was in line with expectations, and we have reiterated our full year guidance. We were pleased with the growth across LAC, EMEA, APAC and India. In North America, we continue to focus on making our offer more competitive, and whilst this remains our biggest challenge, clear actions are underway.'
At prior close on LSE, Diageo shares were trading at 1,808.99 pence.
