Press Release
Quanthor and 2CRSi join forces to secure critical infrastructure in the post-quantum era
Sherbrooke (Canada) / Strasbourg (France), 04 August 2026. The clock on post-quantum migration has started. With the
publication of the first NIST standards and a 2030 deadline for deprecating classical algorithms, organizations
protecting critical infrastructure now have only a handful of years to make the switch, whereas such a transition
typically takes five to ten. And the threat is not waiting for a quantum computer to arrive: for several years now,
state and non-state actors have been stockpiling encrypted data with the intent to decrypt it once quantum computing
power allows, a strategy known as « Harvest Now, Decrypt Later ». Against this backdrop, Quanthor, a Canadian
specialist in sovereign hardware security, and 2CRSi (Euronext Paris: 2CRSi), a leading European industrial player in
high-performance computing infrastructure, announce the signing of a Letter of Intent to structure a technological and
industrial collaboration for the most critical environments.
This partnership brings together two complementary logics: the hardware trust layer developed by Quanthor, built on
Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF) and post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and 2CRSi's sovereign, HPC, AI and ruggedized
computing platforms. Together, they address the defense, space, energy and sensitive-infrastructure markets, where the
chain of trust can no longer rest on digital keys alone.
The agreement sets out several structuring priorities. 2CRSi will support Quanthor in the sourcing and integration of
server platforms for the deployment of the Forge and Qbox modules, Quanthor's hardware solutions enabling
high-assurance physical authentication of critical assets. The two companies will also work on specific technical
adaptations to meet the certification constraints of the target markets, with a progressive supply commitment from
Quanthor to 2CRSi.
This alliance is part of an accelerating industrial dynamic. The global quantum-security market is entering a phase of
active consolidation, a sign that major technology players anticipate the disruption and are seeking to secure their
positions. Quanthor and 2CRSi are betting on a sovereign alternative, designed outside the major American and Chinese
spheres of influence, from Québec and Alsace.
Located at the heart of Sherbrooke's quantum innovation ecosystem, Quanthor develops its technologies in close
connection with the aerospace, defense and sensitive-infrastructure sectors in Canada. This positioning allows it to
address real-world operational environments, alongside industrial and institutional players engaged in the next
generation of critical technologies.
« This partnership with 2CRSi marks the beginning of a technological corridor between Canada and Europe that we are
building deliberately. Sovereignty is not decreed: it is encoded in silicon, in supply chains, in the industrial
partnerships one chooses. With 2CRSi, we are laying a first concrete stone. »
Gaël Humbert, CEO of Quanthor
« This collaboration perfectly illustrates our commitment to supporting technology projects of strong strategic value.
The stakes tied to digital sovereignty and to securing critical infrastructure are central today. The technologies
developed by Quanthor provide a concrete answer to these challenges, and we are proud to contribute to their
industrialization. »
Alain Wilmouth, Chief Executive Officer of 2CRSi
