WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - IonQ Inc. (IONQ) on Wednesday reported a loss for the second quarter that widened from the prior year, despite a sharp increase in revenue. The quantum computing company also raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook.
IonQ reported a second-quarter net loss attributable to the company of $1.87 billion, or $5.08 per share, compared with a loss of $176.8 million, or $0.70 per share, a year earlier.
The company reported a loss on change in fair value of warrant liabilities of $1.65 billion in the quarter. Adjusted loss was $0.33 per share, compared with an adjusted loss of $0.08 per share last year.
Revenue increased to a record $80.1 million from $20.7 million in the prior-year quarter.
For fiscal 2026, IonQ raised its revenue guidance to $280 million-$290 million from its prior outlook of $260 million - $270 million, while continuing to expect organic revenue growth of 100% year over year.
