WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Natera Inc. (NTRA) on Thursday reported a narrower second-quarter loss as revenue surged 38% on higher testing volumes and pricing improvements. The genetic testing company also raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance.
Net loss narrowed to $67.0 million, or $0.47 per share, from $100.9 million, or $0.74 per share, a year earlier.
Total revenue increased 37.7% to $752.8 million from $546.6 million last year, driven by higher test volumes and average selling prices.
The company said it processed about 1.04 million tests during the quarter, up 22.4% from a year ago, while oncology test volumes jumped 57.2% to about 296,700 tests.
Gross margin improved to 64.5% from 63.4% a year earlier.
For fiscal 2026, Natera raised its revenue guidance to $2.85 billion-$2.91 billion from the prior range of $2.74 billion-$2.82 billion. The company continues to expect gross margin of about 64%-66% and positive cash flow for the year.
