TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Obayashi Corporation (OBA.F) announced a profit for its first quarter that Increased, from last year

The company's bottom line totaled JPY39.091 billion, or JPY56.87 per share. This compares with JPY18.070 billion, or JPY25.59 per share, last year.

The company's revenue for the period rose 19.0% to JPY623.429 billion from JPY523.763 billion last year.
