TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Tokyu Corporation (01T.F, 9005.T), a Japanese company that operates urban development business, real estate, life services, transportation, and other businesses, reported a rise in net income and revenue for the first quarter. In addition, the company has reaffirmed its annual outlook.
For the three-month period to June 30, Tokyu reported net income of JPY 36.260 billion, or JPY 63.85 per share, higher than JPY 25.291 billion, or JPY 44.02 per share in the same period last year.
Operating earnings were JPY 31.394 billion, compared with JPY 32.306 billion in the previous year. Operating revenue was JPY 273.467 billion, up from JPY 261.358 billion in the previous year. This increase in revenue reflects the sale of large properties in real estate.
For the 12-month period to March 31, 2027 (the full year), Tokyu still anticipates net profit of JPY 90 billion, up 3.4% from the previous year. Net earnings per share are still expected to be at JPY 158.15, up 5.9% from the prior year. The company continues to project operating revenue of JPY 1.140 trillion, up 5% from last year.
For the full year, Tokyu intends to pay a total dividend of JPY 32 per share, higher than last year's JPY 30 per share.
