SEATTLE (dpa-AFX) - Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) on Thursday said U.S. Multichannel Fulfillment (MCF) sellers can now offer fast, free Prime delivery on their own websites at no additional cost.
Once a merchant adds Prime delivery to its website, the Prime badge appears on product pages, allowing shoppers to select Prime delivery at checkout. Amazon verifies membership and fulfills orders using merchant inventory, while merchants handle order confirmation and tracking.
Merchants can activate the service through the Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime app for Shopify, with setup taking 70% less time on average than standalone Buy with Prime.
Amazon also launched the MCF Preferred Pricing Program, combining discounts on fulfillment fees with Fulfillment by Amazon credits to provide savings of up to 25% on fulfillment fees for the first six months.
Amazon said the program requires no contracts or long-term commitments, with merchants able to enroll through Seller Central and receive discounts automatically when they ship.
On the Nasdaq, Amazon shares closed at $249.27 on Wednesday, down 2.24%.
