PARIS (dpa-AFX) - Monday, Sanofi (SNY) commenced construction of a new state-of-the-art insulin manufacturing facility at its BioCampus in Frankfurt, Germany, leveraging advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence across manufacturing and quality processes.
Built on a 36,000-square-meter footprint at the Sanofi BioCampus in Frankfurt, the facility reflects Sanofi's long-term commitment to provide a reliable supply of insulin to millions of people living with diabetes around the world.
Full production of insulin active pharmaceutical ingredient is planned for 2032, once the facility is fully licensed, the company added.
SNY was trading at $39.93, down 1.67 percent on the Nasdaq.
