GRAND JUNCTION, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/06/10 -- Syndicated Solar, an expert solar development firm specializing in commercial, industrial, and solar investment solutions, has completed what appears to be the largest solar array on a retail liquor store in Colorado. The solar energy project will offset almost half of the electricity requirements for Andy's Liquor in Grand Junction. For project pictures and other pertinent information please refer to Syndicated's Solar Energy Blog.
Andy's Liquor, 922 N. 1st St., recently completed a project to expand and remodel the store. The remodeling plan included an installation of a photovoltaic power plant to offset part of the store's considerable electricity needs. The grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 8th, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
The photovoltaic array consists of 378 Lumos LS185 solar panels utilizing about 95 percent of the store's roof space. The solar panels will produce approximately 94,192 kWh per year, enough solar electricity to offset approximately 43 percent of the store's electricity consumption. The array's generation of clean solar energy will reduce greenhouse gas production by 141,170 pounds annually. Over the system's lifetime, the reduction in greenhouse gases is the equivalent of planting 70,585 trees or taking an SUV off the road for approximately 2.25 million miles.
Syndicated Solar used Enphase Energy M190-S12 micro inverters for the project -- rather than string inverters or central inverters -- to minimize the negative effects of shading and mismatch caused by the prevalence of rooftop structures and various solar panel orientations. Syndicated Solar worked diligently with Andy's representatives in the pre-construction process to determine the exact technologies and configurations that would yield the greatest production and the quickest return on investment. Real-time solar energy production monitoring.
"Syndicated Solar has been spot-on with their knowledge and work, and they have gone above and beyond to make the choice to choose solar a great and productive experience. This was a complicated decision, and their total grasp of solar energy made it easy for us to see how solar can help our business. Syndicated provided the professional service that you would expect from a company providing this service and they have done everything to make this process easy. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to pursue a solar project," says Kent Hill, owner's representative for Andy's Liquor.
"There was a lot of confusion going into this project because of several contradicting proposals received by Andy's Liquor. It was a pleasure to work with Andy's in determining the best case scenario for their situation. We're fortunate to be able to work with great clients while providing them with a product and service that truly strengthens their bottom line and comes with a plethora of benefits," says Justin Pentelute, president of Syndicated Solar, Inc.
Syndicated Solar's systems are state-of-the-art with exorbitant attention to detail and the best equipment the solar industry has to offer.
