Long Island Spirits, Inc. will begin converting a scenic barn, located on an 80 acre potato field into the first craft distillery on Long Island, announced Rich Stabile, President and Head Distiller. "We have worked for more than a year to secure the proper permits. Now that everything is in place, our plans are on target to create a world class spirit distillery on the idyllic North Fork, known for its outstanding wineries," continued Stabile. The first product from Long Island Spirits, Inc will be ultra premium vodka called LiV (rhymes with 5), which is slated for a December 2007 introduction.

Being true to creating a product that captures the terrior of the North Fork, Long Island Spirits will push the envelope of craft distilling to create a vodka that is smooth and captures consumers' attention with an exceptional taste profile.
"Our copper stills are being completed in Germany right now. These stills are beautiful works of art and they will allow us to distill some remarkable Vodka starting this winter," added Daniel Pollicino, Executive Vice President of Sales and Distribution.
Long Island Spirits will also bottle LIV at the distillery. Marketing and distribution efforts will be New York-centric with a focus on the Hamptons and Montauk when the 2008 season begins.
