The Standard Launches New Retirement Savings Campaigns

Programs Support Upcoming National Save for Retirement Week

Standard Retirement Services ("The Standard"), a subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: SFG), has launched two new retirement savings campaigns designed to appeal to retirement plan participants. The campaigns help promote enrollment, increase contributions and motivate ongoing asset allocation review.

The Standard’s 401-yay!SMcampaign targets 401(k) plan participants, while Rethink Retirement! targets participants in non-401(k) plans, such as 403(b) plans. Materials may be used in conjunction with the upcoming National Save for Retirement Week, which runs Oct. 18-24. This special week was recently established by Congress to help increase personal financial literacy and raise awareness of the retirement savings vehicles available to workers, including public- and private-sector employees, employees of tax-exempt organizations and self-employed individuals.

“These materials make it easy for plan sponsors to get the word out,” said Sheri Fitts, director of communications and large plan sales at The Standard. “They were designed with participants in mind - to get them into the habit of saving for their future.”
