Juniper Networks (NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, announced it was selected as a winner in multiple categories in this year’s SUPERCOMM® Eos Awards, presented today at the SUPERCOMM 2009 conference in Chicago. In addition to three product wins, the company was honored with the Spotlight Award, an achievement recognizing the “best of” this year’s SUPERCOMM Eos Award winners.
Specifically, Juniper was recognized in the following areas:
- Juniper Networks SRX 5800 Dynamic Services Gateway won in the technological innovations category for best application layer systems solution;
- Juniper Networks Intelligent Services Edge portfolio won in the technological innovations category for best backbone/edge solution;
- Juniper Networks E Series Broadband Services Routers won in the special section category for ongoing achievement; and
- 2009 Eos Spotlight Award Winner: Juniper Networks was recognized for overall superior achievement during this year’s awards program.
“Juniper made quite a statement this year in securing four Eos awards, including the Spotlight Award in recognition of overall achievement,” said John Salak, president of The Salak Group and chairman of the Eos Awards Program. “This achievement reflects Juniper’s wide-ranging and deep impact in the marketplace, which, in turn, has had a profound global footprint throughout the industry.”
In the 10-plus years that the Eos Awards have existed, the program has recognized achievements in traditional communications services, strategic support of services and network, network design, technological innovation, ongoing achievement and the advancement of new communications services. The winners were selected by a panel of consultants comprised of technical journalists and service providers from the communications industry.
“We are thrilled to receive top honors in multiple categories at this widely recognized industry event,” said Manoj Leelanivas, senior vice president and general manager, Edge and Aggregation Business Unit at Juniper Networks. “These awards are a testament to our commitment to technology innovation that enables both our service providers and enterprise customers to truly benefit from high-performance networking solutions.”
