National Commander Clarence E. Hill of The American Legion will be available for interviews this evening after attending President Obama''s signing of an Executive Order improving the process of recruiting military veterans into federal jobs. The Commander applauds the measure but notes that “there is much more to be done.”

National Commander Hill will attend a breakfast and briefing with Defense Secretary Robert Gates. He will be available for comment immediately following the meeting.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM   NATIONAL NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER, Bethesda

National Commander Hill will visit wounded warriors at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. Hill is a graduate of the Naval Academy, Annapolis and retired Navy Captain and combat command veteran.

National Commander Hill will attend the Veterans Day Breakfast Reception.

10:00 AM   ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY

Commander Hill will be among the dignitaries attending the annual Veterans Day Wreath Laying Ceremony and available for comment following the event.

12:30 PM   VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL - The Mall

National Commander Hill will be available for comment immediately prior to the 1:00 PM Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ceremony where he will present The American Legion wreath.

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM   EISENHOWER EXECUTIVE OFFICE BUILDING

National Commander Hill is scheduled to attend a reception hosted by Vice President Biden in honor of Berlin Air Lift veterans during their Diamond Jubilee reunion.

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM   HOMEWOOD SUITES, 1475 Massachusetts Ave., NW

National Commander Hill will offer an address during the farewell reception at the Diamond Jubilee of the Berlin Air Lift reunion.
