Xerox Audio Visual Solutions Receives NSCA Excellence in Business Award for Marketing Strategies

Company chosen based on successful planning and execution of marketing strategies in primary vertical markets

Xerox Audio Visual Solutions, a top three audio visual integration solutions provider, and wholly-owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX), was recently honored as the recipient of the National Systems Contractors Association''s (NSCA) Excellence in Business Award for Marketing Strategies. The award ceremony was held at the association''s 2010 Business & Leadership Conference, February 25-27, 2010 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

"We were ecstatic to learn we won the NSCA Excellence in Business Award for Marketing Strategies," said Dan Boylan, president, Xerox Audio Visual Solutions. "To be recognized for our marketing process and strategy by NSCA is an honor, and reinforces our belief in the structured and thoughtful approach that we take in developing our strategies."

Since 2005, Xerox Audio Visual Solutions, formerly Southern Business Communications, has experienced 30 percent annual revenue growth in one of its primary vertical markets in many ways due to its marketing focus. Recognizing the need for specialization, and realizing that the organization could not be everything to everyone, Xerox Audio Visual Solutions went through a period of internal evaluation and research to discover its strengths and weaknesses, as well as to promote staff certification through professional development and training programs.

This evaluation facilitated a concentrated focus on three primary vertical markets: education, commercial and government. Management determined a need to develop specific strategies for each market, and provide the tools and resources necessary to develop and nurture a knowledgeable, dedicated sales staff. As a result, Xerox Audio Visual Solutions created detailed job descriptions, training and certification programs, and marketing resources for each specific market.

"Its review of internal processes and procedures and, more important, its knowledge base, has allowed Xerox Audio Visual Solutions to create training and presentation materials that make it an exceptional business in today''s economy," said Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director. "NSCA was pleased to present Xerox Audio Visual Solutions with the Marketing Strategies award."

This prestigious award falls on the heels of its 2009 Pro AV Spotlight Award for AV Integration Excellence presented at the InfoComm 2009 Conference, and the 2009 Systems Contractor News recognition as the third largest AV Systems Integrator in North America.
