SI International Named One of Virginia's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program

RESTON, Va., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SI International, Inc. , an information technology and network solutions (IT) company, has been named for the second year in a row to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Virginia. The rankings of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area are produced by Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services firms. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 1999-2003. Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr is the sponsor for this year's Virginia Technology Fast 50 program, and PR Newswire is the official media partner.

SI International's Chairman and CEO, Ray Oleson, credits the company's strategic focus on Federal IT modernization, defense transformation, homeland defense, and mission-critical outsourcing for generating 397 percent revenue growth from 1999-2003. Oleson said, "SI International is honored to receive this award. In today's world, the Federal Government is facing an array of urgent challenges in the areas of security, IT modernization, and defense transformation, both domestically and abroad. We are proud to stand with the Government in meeting these challenges through our unwavering commitment to offering mission-critical IT support. Our phenomenal growth is a testament to the diligent work SI International's professionals put into every Government IT project."

SI International's increase in revenues resulted in a 27 ranking in the Fast 50 for Virginia. To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have generated operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1999 and $1,000,000 in 2003. The winners of the 19 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
